Last updated: March 8, 2026
Acceptance
By downloading or using Mooni, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
Description
Mooni is a personal mood tracking app that correlates your self-reported mood, energy, and sleep data with lunar phases. All data is stored locally on your device.
Use of the App
- Mooni is provided for personal, non-commercial use.
- You are responsible for any data you enter into the app.
- You may export and import your data freely via the CSV feature.
Moon Data & Health Disclaimer
Mooni provides lunar phase calculations based on astronomical algorithms. While the calculations are accurate, Mooni is not a scientific, medical, or mental health tool. Any correlations shown between mood and moon phases are observational and for entertainment/personal curiosity purposes only.
Do not use Mooni as a substitute for professional medical or mental health advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you are experiencing mental health difficulties, please consult a qualified professional.
Intellectual Property
Mooni and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by the developer. Moon phase calculations are based on Jean Meeus' Astronomical Algorithms as implemented in the open-source astronomia package.
Donations
Mooni offers an optional link to Ko-fi for voluntary support. Donations are non-refundable and do not unlock additional features. Transactions through Ko-fi are subject to Ko-fi's own terms of service.
Data & Liability
Since all data is stored locally on your device:
- You are responsible for backing up your data. Uninstalling the app or clearing app data will permanently delete your entries.
- The developer is not responsible for any data loss.
- Use the CSV export feature to create backups.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Mooni is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. The developer does not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of defects.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Mooni.
Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of Mooni after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
