Overview

Mooni is a mood tracking app that works entirely offline. Your privacy is simple: we don't collect, store, or transmit any of your data. Period.

Data Collection

Mooni does not collect any personal data. Specifically:

  • No accounts or sign-ups — Mooni works without registration.
  • No analytics or tracking — We don't use any analytics SDKs, crash reporting, or usage tracking.
  • No advertising — There are no ads and no ad-related data collection.
  • No server communication — Mooni does not connect to any server. All features work fully offline.

Data Storage

All data you enter (mood, energy, sleep, notes) is stored locally on your device only using an on-device SQLite database. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it via the CSV export feature.

Location Data

If you grant location permission, Mooni uses your coordinates solely to calculate moonrise and moonset times for your location. Your location is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted anywhere. You can clear your saved location at any time from Settings.

Notifications

If you enable daily reminders, Mooni uses your device's local notification system. No data is sent to external push notification services.

External Links

Mooni contains a link to Ko-fi (ko-fi.com) for optional support/donations. Tapping this link opens your device's browser and is subject to Ko-fi's own privacy policy. No data is shared with Ko-fi from within Mooni.

CSV Export/Import

The export feature saves a CSV file to your device's local storage. The import feature reads a CSV file you select from your device. Neither operation involves any network communication.

Children's Privacy

Mooni does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a new "Last updated" date.
